Will clients actually use it?
Clients do not see the firm’s complexity. They only see which document is missing, which question is open and what they need to do next.

Clients do not see the firm’s complexity. They only see which document is missing, which question is open and what they need to do next.
If the firm and its clients already manage documents, tasks, questions and status information in a structured way with little manual coordination, the additional benefit may be smaller. DATEV and other specialist systems remain responsible for professional tax work. MainTax organizes collaboration before, between and around it.
Clients, staff, document types and basic status data can be prepared and imported. The exact effort depends on the size of the firm, its data and the chosen scope.
Yes. You receive a personal demo firm with realistic sample data and can test Maintax Central for seven days without a credit card.
No. You can start the personal demo yourself. A consultation is optional if you want to discuss processes, migration or specific requirements.
The demo contains prepared sample data. Please do not upload real sensitive client, tax or employee data.
Clients only see content released for them: open tasks, missing documents, questions, approvals, status and documents. Internal notes and administration remain hidden.
Yes. The client portal is responsive and works in the browser on phones and tablets, including direct uploads from the device.
Documents can arrive through the portal, a secure upload link, a personal upload address or a configured mail import. Each arrival is assigned to the relevant client and process.
The firm requests the document with its period, category and due date. Maintax Central displays the open requirement, records reminders and closes it only after a suitable upload has been reviewed.
Open questions remain visible on the client and process. The team sees existing communication and ownership before creating another request; identical files are also recognised by their content.
Every open item shows whether the firm must act, a client response is missing or no action is currently required. Blockers and the next owner are visible immediately.
Deadlines are managed with status, traffic light, owner, reminders and escalations. The firm remains responsible for professional review, deadline calculation and correct data maintenance.
Templates, rules, reminders and bulk actions make firm work repeatable. Execution, results and errors remain traceable.
Receipt date, appeal deadline, expected and assessed amounts, variances, owner and next step are recorded in one review process. The professional tax judgement remains with the firm.
Depending on configuration, notices are available in the portal, by email and as web push. Users can manage preferences, digests, quiet hours and registered devices.
Yes. The interface is available in eleven languages. Professional content and individual messages are created by the firm and are not translated automatically without review.
Access is limited by firm, role, permission and client assignment. Sensitive actions may require an additional confirmation.
Yes. Tasks, questions, deadlines and processes can be assigned to owners. Status, comments and history keep the team on the same working state.
Yes. Internal information and call notes can be recorded on the client or process and remain visible only to authorised firm staff.
Timeline and audit records capture relevant processing steps, status changes and security events with the time and acting user.
Support access to firm data is not permanently open. It requires an explicitly approved, time-limited support session and is recorded for traceability.
Maintax Central combines private file storage, role-based access, signed links, session and upload controls, and audit logs. Production infrastructure and legal configuration still require separate approval.
No software creates legal compliance on its own. Maintax Central provides technical foundations for access, logging, exports and deletion workflows; contracts, purposes, retention and firm processes require legal review and correct configuration.
Using Maintax Central does not automatically release firm data for AI training. External AI services may only be used after conscious configuration and technical and contractual review.
Yes. Prepared import functions support structured client and existing data. Format, quality and assignment are reviewed before production transfer.
Branding, roles, document types, status, templates, notifications and workflows can be configured. Custom domains and advanced features depend on the selected plan.
Each plan defines usage limits and enabled features. The public pricing view takes these details from the central plan administration.
A plan change can be prepared through subscription administration. Timing, billing and available features depend on the chosen change and the applicable contract terms.
Access, export options, retention and deletion follow the contract and legal obligations. Data is not deleted uncontrollably simply because cancellation was initiated.
